Spalted Beech Chef’s knife

£75.00

At Brownlow we hate to see anything go to waste, in this case we have used our timber off cuts to make into beautiful knife handles. Due to the individuality of each piece of timber, no two knives are the same.

The 6” chef’s knife has been handmade in Sheffield and is the perfect partner in the kitchen. From chopping meat to slicing fruit and vegetables, it features a broad blade which curves upwards towards the tip to allow the knife to rock for fine mincing.

Due to the timber handle we ask these are washed by hand only.

Hand made in England.

Can you put a knife with a wooden handle in the dishwasher?

No, you cannot, putting it in the dishwasher will damage the wooden handle. We recommend hand washing only and not soaking.

How do you wash a seasoned iron frying pan?

Simply wash in hot water. Do not use soap or detergent. Immediately dry, ideally on a low heat on the hob or in a warm oven.

What are the best pans to use on an induction hob?

For frying pans or pots to work on an induction hob / cooktop, they must be made from a magnetic material with an iron or iron based metal (steel and iron are most popular, copper and brass pans are not suitable for an induction hob)

Can you use iron pan on an induction hob?

Yes, our spun black iron is very magnetic so works exceptionally well on all induction hobs, Every time you use the pan heat slowly from a low setting, before selecting high or full power. Never drop a hot iron pan into cold water, this will buckle it.
